Making Your House Safe For The Christmas Break
So by now, I am sure we all can feel that Christmas is just around the corner. The lights and trees are up, the shop’s carps parks are full and we have a lot of Christmas party to attend. This is the time of the year when the kids are home from school and most people will take time off work. This means our homes will be full of people of the next few months.
With some much happening this time of the year we can forget to take a look at our homes and make sure they are safe and update. Below are 3 things you should look out for over the Christmas break.
We are definitely into the hotter months of the year now and we will be using the pool more often. Take some time to inspect the pool fence is working correctly and there are no objects close to the fence that kids can climb up on and over the fence.
As everyone gets into the Christmas spirit, we start to decorate out hold with a lot more items. Make sure that all hanging objects are secured correctly and are out of reach of kids who can easily pull and them and have something fall.
Presents, boxes and rubbish
This time of the year there are a lot more items coming into the house then there are leaving. Try to keep presents and boxes stored away and free from hallways as they can quickly turn in a trip hazard. Also, the will be a lot of extra rubbish around from all the gifts and extra food. We sometimes fill our bins really quickly so we may need to think about taking a trip to the tip to free up some room around the house.
All in all, I want to make sure everyone has a safe and happy holidays.
