How much site access will you have during your build?
We all know that building a home is a very exciting time in anyone’s life. You have worked long hours sacrificed and saved for a deposit and finally reached the dream of your very own brand-new home. This is a great achievement in itself as these days is becoming a lot harder for young families to purchase their first home. So when you finally see the construction of your brand-new home starting to take shape we understand all the emotions that run through your body and how eager you are to get on-site to stand in and get the feel for what your new home is going to feel like.
Now because of this, it is very important for you to find out and have an understanding about your builder’s process when it comes to how you will be kept informed about what is happening on site and what type access you will be given to your brand-new home during the construction period. The best time to find this out would be in the early stages when you are trying to select the right builder.
Two key questions you should be asking when selecting your builder
- How will I be kept informed of the progress of my new home during the construction period
- Will I have access to the site during construction
If the builder you are talking to is a best practice builder then they should be able to answer these two questions with no problem at all.
At Simone Homes, we notify our clients via email with photos and the description of the progress and what is coming up every two weeks, this is also followed up by regular phone calls. We also offer our clients two walkthroughs with my father Joe.
As you can see knowing your builder’s process can definitely help you in choosing the right builder.
