90mm vs 70mm Frames | Simone TV: Episode 10
On this episode we’re going to talk about 70mm vs 90mm Frames.
People often talk a lot about what their house is actually going to look like on the outside, but never considered the inside. Now when I say inside, I mean behind the jeep rock. I am talking about the timber frame.
Here I have a 70mm frame and a 90mm frame.
Now, a lot of people think of that I think about is actually whether or not they have a 90mm or 70mm frame, and they don’t even ask the question. The next time that you’re going to build your new home, ask the question whether or not you have 70mm or a 90mm frame.
Frames – does size matter?
Some of the key differences between a 70mm and 90mm frame is simply the strength. Now if you have any cavity sliding door throughout your house I highly recommend that these 90mm cavity sliding door purely for the strength purposes. Also, if you are having floor to ceiling tiles in your wet areas, 90mm frame would be highly recommended as well. Also, other good things to look at for is if you have really long hallways, then 90mm frame is definitely much stronger than 70mm frame. So, I highly recommend 90mm frame over 70mm frame.
